Approved
by the State Council and founded in 1957, China Performing
Arts Agency (CPAA), directly under the Ministry of Culture
of the People's Republic of China, is the largest and
most professional performing arts agency in China. CPAA
is the world's largest provider for Chinese performing
arts, as well as an established leader in presenting
the world's distinguished artists and attractions in
China.
Under CPAA, there are Cultural Exchanges
Division, Asian Marketing Division, and International
Marking Division. The subsidiary companies under CPAA
are CPAA Productions Ltd., CPAA Cultural Entertainment
Company, Beijing One World Culture Communication Company
Ltd. ("Meet In Beijing" International Arts
Center), CPAA New Times Advertising Ltd., CPAA City
Theater Management Ltd., CPAA Marketing Ltd., CPAA Shengda
Cultural Communication Company Ltd., CPAA Passenger-Cargo
Transport Services Company, CPAA Cultural Services Company,
CPAA Turandot Culture Ltd., and Zhong Rui Decoration
Engineering Company. CPAA is also the legal entity that
manages Tianqiao Theater, a first-class theater in China
completed in 2000. With the approval of the Ministry
of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations
and Trade, CPAA (Europe) Ltd. was established in Germany
in 2001. CPAA Entertainment Ltd. (Shanghai) was also
set up in Shanghai in 2002.
